OBJECTIVE

To obtain a position utilizing my work experience in personal care attendant or PAT program with at risk children. I am working toward an elementary education degree at Northwestern State University with a concentration in early childhood development. Working with children in this capacity, or caring for mentally retarded/developmentally delayed adults would enable me to utilize my training and work experience as well as be an asset to the firm by which I am employed. I will consider part-time or clerical, supportive position.

QUALIFICATIONS

I have experience both in education services and in medical transportation. As well as experience as a personal care attendant and respite attendant dealing with handicapped, disabled, developmentally delayed , and at-risk children. I have received forty hours of training classes from Gulf Coast Teaching and Family Services including cardio pulmonary resuscitation, seizure management, recognizing abuse and neglect, and other classes pertaining to dealing with families of at risk, disabled, handicapped, and developmentally delayed children. Also, I hold a valid chauffeur�s license and excellent driving record with experience in transporting all types of disabled and handicapped children and adults. In addition to my other qualifications I have high Eureka scores in the areas of nursing, social skills, and the health industry. I feel I have a high aptitude to teach and nurture special children.

Currently I supervise three departments: laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training all personnel in my departments, as well as monitoring and evaluating their performance, terminations, instruction in OSHA regulations and videos, orientation, safety issues, company policies and rules, planning the work assignments and planning schedules, conducting in-services, inspection of the premises, and gathering information to communicate to repairmen that contract work in the facility of maintenance problems, and implementing a planned , methodical routine of completing tasks on the job.
