We portray no specific Sharpshooter unit on a regular basis. Instead we acqiure uniforms, equipment and weaponry so that we can portray many of the Federal Sharpshooting units which served in the Eastern and Western Theaters of operation. This approach grants us flexibility and allows us to take part in many more reenactments than many of our sister units and still be historically accurate to the scenario being portrayed by an event.
When we attend an event where no Sharpshooters were historically present we research the battle and portray a generic skirmish/rifle company. Sometimes we assemble riflemen with Henry Rifles and portray a Henry armed unit if they were historically present at the battle being portrayed.
Primarily we are based in the Midwest but our membership is quite diverse and are from all over the country. We take part in a variety of events all over the country which include public battles,private tactical simulations, living histories, school presentations, parades and ceremonies.
We have no membership fees nor dues nor by-laws. Common sense as well as knowledge of tactics, regulations and history of Sharpshooters guides the members in our portrayal and conduct.
We are affiliated with the Cavalyr Brgiade of the 1st Federal Division and serve with distinction for the Brigade in the capacity as Riflemen..
