Kohl's Kids Who Care Scholarship Program- 2,000 awards ranging from $50-$5,000 will be awarded to students ages 6-18 whose volunteer efforts are above and beyond what is normally expected and have positively impatec others.  Their efforts must have been within the past 12 months and can not have been done to solely benefit a family member.  Nominations can be made online at www.kohlskids.com

Oklahoma Department of Higher Education Summer Academies- Area Oklahoma colleges and universities offer summer enrichment programs to students who would like the opportunity to further their education in math, science, and technology.  To view  a listing of academies offered this summer and to apply visit www.okhighered.org/summer-academies or call 1-800-858-1840

Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs Award- The district Zonta Club will award $1,000 to a young woman between the ages of 16 & 20 who intends to enroll in a college or university.  Applicants must deonstrate evidence of an active commitment to volunteerism, volunteer leadership achievements, international awareness, and a dedication to advancing the status of women worldwide.  Applications are avaialbe on-line at

OSU Information System Techonolgy Exploration Academy for High School Students-  for one week OSU in Stillwater will host an academy for high school students where they can participate in a unique educations experience connecting technology, problem-solving, and people.  Applicaitons can be downloaded from

QuestBridge's 2009 College Pre Scholarship Program- This program is open to hight school juniors and is an opportunity for them to be able to access one of the following programs: 10 full sholarships to college summer programs at Harvard University, Stanford University, the Unviersity of Notre Dame, and Yale Unviersity; 40 awards of collgee admissions counseling provided by experienced QuestBridge staff; 1,000 invitaitons to QuestBridge College Admissions conferences at Stanford and Yale, and 100 all-expences paid visits to top-ranked colleges.  Apply on-line at
