COVENANT
A binding promise to do or not do something

Church of the Harvest is committed to upholding the standard of the word of God in its operations and in order to help its members grow effectively in the Lord. Our members have made a commitment�a personal covenant�to honor, at the very minimum, the following biblical principles. These tenets will serve to foster the walk with Christ that God had in mind for us. God is the joy of our salvation, and these promises should likewise be a joy to us. From holding fast to them Church of the Harvest can be a true microcosm of THE CHURCH�the body of Christ. Through honoring them we can build a faithful, strong, Spirit-filled church congregation, be a light and a model to others who are seeking God, and most importantly of all�draw others to the Lord.

We want our members to be able to make this godly commitment:

I commit to covenant with the Pastor and Fellow Members of COTH in:

a daily Bible reading and prayer time
2 Timothy 2:15, I Thessalonians 5:17

a minimum giving of a tithe (10% of gross income)
Hebrews 7:1-10, Malachi 3:8-10, I Corinthians 16:2

weekly reconciliation with anyone to whom you are not reconciled
Ephesians 4:25-27, 1 John 2:9-11, 4:20

faithful attendance and involvement in weekly services and activities (i.e., not just a spectator)
Hebrews 10:23-25

tell at least one person a week about Christ and invite at least one person a month to our services
Matthew 28:19-20

I understand that this promise is made before Our Heavenly Father and men in accordance with biblical mandates.
