The Breaking Day

The world wakes covered with dew
Eyes open and scan the view
The sun in the east starts to break
Im taken aback by the colors it makes
The world is trapped between vision and silhouette
With an early morn rain the ground still wet
I look in the sky and see the hues
Painted with dusty pinks and blues
I watch the clouds pass by in the sky
Gracefully they drift on by
The beauty as the sun break is something else
Gentle in a way but enough to make your heart melt
One of these days perhaps, well know why
We can view this beauty and feel a tear in our eye
It's a wonder I can find words to say
What I see when I view the waking of day
