Corunna Volunteer Fire Department has existed for probably as long as the town itself has, but it didn't become organization until 1953. With the efforts of many dedicated people through the years, it has become what it is today...a professional, well maintained department that Corunna can be proud of.
This photo features the pre 1970's Fire Station, located on South Bridge Street. Jay's Construction now owns the building.
And as it looks today.
Fire Station up until last year, located on North Bridge Street. Building was originally Albrights Grocery Store, but was donated to the town in the early 70's by the Albrights after the family built a new store. Building is also the Town Hall now.

New Fire Station built in 2006 with grants from the State, fund raisers, donations and from the firefighters themselves. Many of fire fighters personally gave their own time and money to complete this building.
No one can say this department isn't hard working.
