is
for memory. If you want to remember something, write it down on yellow
paper. Yellow is the most memorable
of all the colors. As the color of sunshine, yellow
can
lift your spirits and bring you out of depression. It only seems
appropriate that blond
should be a favored color for hair, which so ideally reflects sunlight.
Blond,
the color of sunlight.
is
for appetite. Not feeling hungry? Try an orange
tablecloth. Just plain feeling down? Try wearing an orange
shirt. Orange increases hunger,
so does it seem ironic that a tan is
so appealing?
Tan, the color of earth.
is
for relaxing. If you want to relax or need to calm your mind and
body, then rest in a blue room or under
a blue sky. Blue
can also reduce anger or aggression.
Blue, the color of sky.
is
for youth. Green brings new beginnings,
spring, and life. Depressed? Anxious? Try going out to a green
field or forest. No matter what you're feeling, green
will help. Green actually slows
the aging process.
Green, the color of youth.
is
for intensity. The color red
increases your heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing. If you
aren't very coordinated, avoid red
shirts. Red is also the color
of passion.
Red, the color of
emotions.
Life
is full of
.
We may not even see all of them, but they are still there, and can still
effect us. The world is an amazing place, full of wonder, full of
beauty, and full of colors.
My favorite colors are

and

To Make You Think: An interesting study showed that
specific color surroundings had the same effect on those who could see
as it had on those who were blind (Color Therapy, Dr. Alexander Schauss).
Color responses are physical instead of mental (light is transferred to
the hypothalamus, where it is interpreted with the help of the pineal and
pituitary glands, causing a physical and mental reaction).
(Ok, yes, I copied the last part in parentheses word for word,
but, hey, I'm trying to get smarter.)
