| NOTE: May, 2003, my poem was accepted to be published. It resulted in my being invited in July, to D.C. to recite my poem in front of Pulitzer Prize Winning Poets at the Capitol. With this invitation I would also go to the White House. Then out of those that were invited to attend, twenty would be chosen to carry on and write poetry to be published for money. This sure excited me. Only have to decide if this is what I want to do. I was also invited to recite some of my other poetry, only problem with this is,,,I no longer have any of it,,,,,,,,,,,they were stolen from one of my previous jobs. Luckily most of them were copywrited. Don't think I could remember them to re-write. |
| FORGOTTEN NEVER You can never erase from her memory the deceit, the hurt, the betrayal. You can never put back that sparkle, the smile on her lips, the laughter in her voice It's lost! It's hidden! Let it be..... There never seems to be an apology given at the time it would do most good. Had you known what hurt you would place on the one you love more than life, you would need never give an apology. It's done! It's over! Let it be forgotten..... When she lies there at night, crying, praying for relief from her misery, When she later tells you, Everything is ok, give it not a second thought . You won't. For it will be your first thought. Your only thought, haunting as it should. It's gone! It's past! Let it be forgotten, never. |
