Nikki is a beautiful little girl with a heart of gold. She is a substantial bitch, with a lovely topline and shoulder. She floats effortlessly across the ground with tremendous reach and drive. She is very affectionate and is always ready for a game.
Unfortunately we could not show Nikki as our vet cut her tendon and ligaments in her foot while doing her dew claws. She has a permanent limp and her toes are irregular, stiff and arthritic, needless to say we no longer use this vet. We therefore kept her two litter brothers Patch and Brindie to show, while Nikki stayed at home to keep the couch occupied.
We bred Nikki in June 1999 to a beautiful English import, CH UK & SA Dumbriton River Rhapsody (line bred back on Nikki's grandmother's side). She gave us 8 beautiful puppies - 5 girls and 3 boys. We kept two bitches, Scarlet and Saige. We are very proud of Nikki's first litter, and our first "Corandy" litter. We hope to continue breeding quality Whippets that we can always be proud of.
On 24 April 2002 Nikki whelped 8 lovely puppies, 6 boys and 2 girls, sired by CH SA Airescot Emerald Expression - Cassidy (Imp Sweden). Due to complications, we had to spay Nikki. She has been an exceptional mother, and a real asset to our bloodline. We were thrilled to export 3 puppies to Canada (one in co-ownership). Please visit Puppies 2002 for more on this special litter.
Unfortunately due to financial constraints with emigrating to New Zealand in 2002, we had to rehome Nikki. We were very sad to leave our special girl in South Africa, but found her a wonderful home with a retired lady who also took her litter brother, Patch, so they stayed together. |
