Saige chose me at birth.  I simply fell in love with her.  We had the opportunity to place her over and over, but I couldnt let her go.  Saige has some power over me.  Saige has lovely bone, drives from behind and is beautifully sound away and back.  I love her shape and substance.  Saige is a very special, deep, different Whippet, who loves chasing bunnies.

While in SA Saige won a Best Puppy under Mrs M Bryce-Smith (UK), beating a very strong puppy class, going Puppy Grp 3.  Shown selectively in 2000, at the remaining five shows of the year she won 3 CC's and 1 RCC (winning a CC at the KUSA FCI Show under Mrs P Gutierrez-Otero).

Early 2001 Saige won BOB and Group 1 at an Open Show.  Then in April 2001, Saige won her 4th CC under Mrs Hickie (Australia), and then her Championship qualifying CC at the Transvaal Whippet Club Championship Show under SA Judge, Gerhard Robinson.  Here she won the two pointer CC (over 10 bitches competing for the Challenge), and then took Reserve Best of Breed over other Champions (over 34 Whippets present).  What a way to become a Champion.   In October 2001, Saige won a very strong Champion Bitch Class and took RBOB to her litter sister, Scarlet, under Mrs K. Eldred (Australia).  What a wonderful day - BOB and RBOB.

Saige stood back for Scarlet to be shown in 2002 and was only entered under Alec MacKenzie (UK) 13 October 2002.  Also our last ever dog show in South Africa as they flew out to New Zealand the next week.  Saige took the Bitch Challenge from strong competition and then RBOB to her litter sister, Scarlet.  What a way to leave the South African Show Scene, with BOB and RBOB.

Saige will hopefully be bred in the not too far future.
