Back in February 2004 I purchased a Panasonic DMC-FZ10 digital still camera in prepration for my trip this summer to Germany. I wanted to allow plenty of time to play around with it as it had an amazing number of bells and whistles. I LOVE this camera! It feels like a regular SLR in your hand but MUCH lighter (my 1980-vintage manual Ricoh was all metal...felt sure and stable in your hand, but with the telephoto lens gave you quite a work-out), is quick on the trigger (a frequent problem with some digitals, leading to missed action shots), and has OUTSTANDING zoom capability...12x optical, which is equal to 35mm - 420mm!! Its digital zoom is up to 36x, but you always need to be careful with digital zoom as it doesn't always give you the best results. Those are just some of its positive attributes...I'm still finding out more!
Anyway, I've been having fun capturing scenes from the area and trying out new settings on the camera. I have links below to the various things I've shot. |
