KOON
Then let the games begin. I may not be allowed to interfere with her task, but that
doesn't mean I can't stop you, Raven.
RAVEN
Is that a threat?
KOON
You'll see soon enough.
Koon suddenly vanishes. Reggie looks around then eyes Raven.
REGGIE
Your powers are equal to his, I hope.
RAVEN
That's not the problem. He plays dirty, and I'm not permitted to.
(pause)
We'd better go. It's going to be a long trip back, I'm afraid.
EXT. WOODS -- NIGHT
Several hours later. We see Raven, Reggie, and Dylan Creature heading along the path in the woods. Reggie appears exhausted. Dylan Creature lags behind also. Raven Eyes Reggie.
RAVEN
Perhaps we should stop and rest a little. It's safe here. Rest while you can.
Dylan Creature collapses and immediately drifts to sleep. Reggie reluctantly sits against a tree. Raven joins her and waves his hand. A fire appears a few feet before them and burns in the air. Reggie enjoys the warmth and smiles. She eyes Raven, who grooms his fire.
REGGIE
I'm really glad you decided to join me. I don't know how much longer I could have
lasted on my own. With Dylan as he is, I have little emotional support. Dylan
was always my strength. We had to depend on each other.
RAVEN
Can't say I've ever depended on Koon for anything. He's always been hell bent.
He wasn't exactly fun to be around all these years. Probably why I avoid him.
REGGIE
Is it because of his evils that you want to be a Light Force?
RAVEN
I suppose one of us should make our parents proud.
REGGIE
Where are they?
RAVEN
They're Light Forces.
(points up)
Out there somewhere. I'd really like to see them again.
REGGIE
I'm sure you will.
RAVEN
I'm beginning to wonder. You've managed to completely throw off my focus and
scatter my priorities.
Reggie appears humored and playfully clings to his arm.
REGGIE
Dylan says women curse men in the nicest possible way.
Raven eyes her nestled against his arm and the playful smile on her face. He smiles warmly.
RAVEN
I've come in contact with mortal women before without conflict. I'm having
difficulty understanding my actions around you.
Raven eyes her while she clings to him, uncertainly places his hand on hers, and gently caresses it.
RAVEN
And you're not helping my conflict.
