You did this? This was you. You stopped them, didn't you?
Raven studies her a moment then offers a tiny smile.
RAVEN
Well--there are no rules.
Reggie appears bewildered, smiles, and laughs with some relief. She again hugs Raven in a warm embrace. She pulls back to meet his gaze.
REGGIE
Why the sudden change of heart?
RAVEN
I guess you're growing on me. Maybe I'm not as above mortal pleasures as I had
originally thought.
Reggie stares at him with some surprise then appears timid and smiles. Raven slowly releases her.
RAVEN
You'd better get your dagger. You still have to get it back to the castle.
INT. PIRATE SHIP
We see the dagger embedded in the helm. Reggie glances at Raven then approaches the helm. Reggie places her hand on the dagger. The room is suddenly crawling with large spiders. Reggie cries out with surprise and pulls the dagger free. She quickly backs up to Raven and looks around as they close in on them. Raven casually looks around with little concern.
RAVEN
Don't like spiders?
REGGIE
I'm terrified of them--especially big, hairy ones.
RAVEN
How do you feel about snakes?
Reggie eyes Raven. Raven casually pulls snakes from his pockets and drops them on the floor around them. The snakes slither for the spiders, which immediately retreat. Reggie watches the snakes chase the spiders from the room. She looks at Raven. He flashes a smile.
RAVEN
You can't imagine all I have up my sleeve--and within my pockets.
Dylan Creature suddenly bolts behind Reggie to hide. Raven and Reggie look toward the doorway. We see Koon within the doorway and looking displeased. He enters the room.
KOON
You have no business interfering in my affairs, Raven.
(to Reggie)
Outside help. You forfeit.
REGGIE
There are no rules, remember? That includes help from your brother. And those
spiders were created by your power. You weren't supposed to interfere yourself.
KOON
That was before I found out you had enslaved my brother into helping you.
(to Raven)
You're not exactly living up to the high standards of a Light Force, brother. Did she
offer herself to you to solicit your help? You know you can't become a Light
Force while indulging in mortal pleasures.
RAVEN
My reasons for helping her are my own. I've accepted nothing from her.
KOON
You're a bigger fool than I thought. But you can't possibly expect me to believe
you're just helping her for shits and giggles. You lack compassion, so something
is motivating you.
RAVEN
I admire her loyalty and devotion toward others. I think she's worth saving. And
if it pisses you off in the process, all the better. You can't interfere. Other than
that, there are no rules. So leave us. We have a dagger to return.
Koon suddenly sneers and appears enraged.
KOON
I won't allow it.
