COOLMORE FILMS
Coolmore Films was established in 1999 as an Independent Film Production Company to produce films based in the North West of Ireland for the world market. They work on Digital Video format and have a database of very experienced cast and crew available to them.
Since it’s formation the company have produced two short films, a 15 minute drama titled Bang Bang and a forty minute drama titled Charlie’s Mission. They have also recently secured a contract from TG4, the Irish language station, to produce regular four minute documentary pieces for broadcast. To date they have produced four of these and are in pre-production for four more. They are also currently pursuing other projects, including:
Pre-production on a fifteen minute Short, working title Leaving Home, script development on two Feature Films, Borderland and A Certain Persuasion.
They receive financial support from the Irish Film Board, First Step Finance, TG4, along with Private Investment and local sponsorship.
It is hoped that Coolmore Films will soon be in a position to investigate International productions with minimum budgets of circa £500,000 - £1,000,000.
