BANG BANG

Bang Bang is a fifteen minute Short Film shot on Digital Video in Donegal and Sligo with the cast and crew being predominantly from the North West of Ireland. It does, however, have an International flavour with German, Canadian, English and American personnel also involved. The script, by writer/Producer Gerry Doherty, was recently short listed for the RTE/Cork Short Script Awards.

The story of Bang Bang is universal - an old man, living on the streets and using a shed in a railway station as a night shelter, witnesses the murder of his friend, a prostitute. He is now faced with the dilemma of how to report what he saw to the police without giving away the location of his shelter. He is also faced with the prospect of continuing on without the only friend he had in the world.

This is Gerry Doherty and Coolmore Film's second Short Film and they hope to produce one more before moving on to their first Feature Film in 2001. Gerry is an ex Fair City writer and has written and produced three stage plays in the past before turning to film-making eighteen months ago. He is a qualified screen writing teacher and instructor in Digital Film-making. Copies are available for £9.95.(plus £2 p&p). Please make cheque / postal order payable to Coolmore Films.
