| MOVIES I SAW: MURDER BY NUMBERS SESSION 9 ENOUGH 8 MILE I SPY RED DRAGON THE RING BARBERSHOP STEALING HARVARD MR. DEEDS SOME UPCOMING MOVIES THAT I SAW THE PREVIEWS FOR: (You can watch the previews if you have Quicktime. Go to http://www.comingsoon.net) SHANGHAI KNIGHTS This movie looks to be hilarious. Owen Wilson has earned a lot of my respect as being an actor that has fun no matter what his role is. He's kind of like a toned down Ben Stiller almost with his lines. He's always reacting to his costars (i.e. Eddie Murphy, Ben Stiller, Gene Hackman, and Jackie Chan). In this movie Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson (playing the same characters from Shanghai Noon) travel to England. They also meet up with Jackie Chan's sister (Owen Wilson starts to like her.) The preview was hilarious. Best Line: (Jackie Chan launches his sis up to the rafters) Jackie Chan: COME ON! Owen Wilson: What in our history together makes you even think I'm capable of something like that? THE HUNTED This upcoming movie stars Tommy Lee Jones & Benicio Del Toro. Tommy Lee Jones plays an agent who trained Benicio Del Toro's character to be a trained killer. Benicio Del Toro starts killing people and Tommy Lee Jones has to catch him. Sounds like a lot of other plots, but the interesting aspect to this one is that Benicio Del Toro was a hero it looks like. His war craze is so real that he has to kill people and Tommy Lee Jones wants to capture him alive and get him help I think. Best Line: Benicio Del Toro: If you cross this line, you had better be prepared to kill me. THE ROOKIE One of my favorite actors who hasn't really gotten a great movie role yet is Colin Farrell (American Outlaws, Tigerland). This might be his break. Colin Farrell is opposite Al Pacino as a recruit for the CIA. The movie kind of looks like Spy Game, except with Pacino playing himself (Is he a double agent?). The preview was very psychological with Colin Farrell being confused as to whether or not Pacino is setting him up or if things are really unfolding the way they are. Best Line: Farrell: Would I have to kill anyone? Pacino: Would you like to? |
