My Mother

When I was a baby, I didn't know much,
but I new your sweet face and your soft, gentle touch.
When I was a toddler, you kept me from harm.
You kissed away boo-boos and made me feel warm.
When I was a young child and had a bad day,
You'd hold me and rock all my troubles away.
When I was a teen and rebellious became,
You understood why and you loved me the same.
Through skinned knees and lost loves,
through sorrows and fears,
I knew you would be there to kiss away tears.
And though I am grown now,
you're still there for me.
And you're still the best friend that could ever be!!!
