The Last Days

We are not living in the last days because the inspired authors of the New Testament explicitly said that they were living in the last days. The period from 30 A.D. to 70 A.D. was the last days of the Old Covenant. It was the transition period between the two covenants. All of the New Testament was written before 70 A.D. The last days is not a period that stretches on for millennia and continues in our time.

Hebrews 1:1-2
1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in
these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;

1 Timothy 4:1
1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in
latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,

2 Timothy 3:1
1 But know this, that in the
last days perilous times will come:

1 Peter 1:5
5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the
last time.

1 Peter 1:20-21
20 He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world,
but was manifest in these last times for you

Acts 2:16-17
16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
       17
And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
       That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
      Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
      Your young men shall see visions,
      Your old men shall dream dreams.

James 5:1-3
1 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you! 2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire.
You have heaped up treasure in the last days.

1 Peter 4:7
7
But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.

1 John 2:18-20
18 Little children,
it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

Jude 1:17-18
17 But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: 18 how they told you that there would be mockers
in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts.
