Well, I've seen dozens of Yankee games, so I've seen Coney pitch on several
occasions. I saw him pitch twice in the 1998 ALCS. In Game 2, he was
fantastic, but the game went into extra innings and the Yanks lost. In Game
6, the pennant-clinching game, he didn't pitch that well, but thanks to
plenty of run support he and the Yankees won.

Uh... he pitched a terrific game against Toronto on Joe DiMaggio Day-- gave
up only one hit, a solo home run just inside the foul pole-- but it was a
tight game and the game got tied up before the Yankees won in extra innings.
But he was very, very masterful in that game.

There've been others, which don't come to mind right now. But I am so
jealous of those of you who were at the PG.

Hi Britt:)
You r so lucky to have gone to Joe DiMaggio Day!!! I went the day b-4.
They announced Joe D. Day the day after I bought my tickets. So, what'd u
think of Paul Simon? I thought he was great. I also loved Phil Rizzuto's
speech:)

In other news, welcome to our 29th member of the Court! *yay* Hmm...only
need 7 more to get to 36! Think we'll ever get that 36th member? :)

Have a good day!! ~ ~ ~

Subject: Hey, cool eBay auction

I was browsing around on eBay and I found a cool auction for a special
David Cone poster! It was given out in 1998 at an awards dinner in
Seattle when Coney got the 1998 Hutch Award. Last time I checked there
were 10 posters available and the minimum bid was $4.00 (and no one had
bid on it yet)!

here's the URL:
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=276139280

The auction ends in 7 hours, so if you're interested, check it out soon!

Hi everyone, hope y'all are having a nice day! This is just another
update notice; front page to document Cone's performance yesterday, and
some more Spring Training pics have been added to the pictures page! I
have been working on the biography throughout this week, and it's almost
done, so that should be coming soon, too!

BG-- thanks for the auction notice...I have seen that auction before,
though lately I have abstained from Ebay because otherwise I just spend
waaaay too much money there! ;)

Have a Happy St. Patrick's Day--did you know Cone is of Irish descent? ;)

Hey! I just wanted to thank you guys for the wonderful compliments
regarding the page! They really made me feel good, so I appreciate it!
Lucinda does know some of what I go through as she is stuck with me online
sometimes when I'm trying to do something and it isn't going right! haha
Poor her, she has to listen to me rant and rave about it sometimes...hee
hee...thanks for the support though la Loochie! ;)

Yes, the biography is my next "big" thing to add..I am looking forward to
adding it. I had to put it on the backburner for awhile due to school,
but hopefully I will finish it soon!

Thanks again, and I hope everyone has a nice day! ~ ~ ~~~ ~

Ya-- Thanks for the article! It was beautiful, as always! I love it when
people talk of Cone's craftsmanship and such...he really is a creative
pitcher, one of the many characteristics that makes him so awesome! :)
And yes, I did get a little teary eyed at the end! It's nice to hear
other people say that, because I think sometimes many people are quick to
forget that it is the blatant truth. :) Thanks again, and no, your
contributions are never a bore!!!!

http://www.geocities.com/coney36_nyy/

Hello everyone...Well so tonight wasn't such a good night for Cone,
unfortunately. :( Poor guy, he is probably still kicking himself right
now...I am curious to hear his thoughts on the game. Not to worry though,
he will do *magnificently* at the home opener! He has a good record at
home and I think the energy from all the fans and everything that makes up
the Yankee aura are good inspirations for him. Those of you going to the
game, have a great time! :)

The front page has been updated with a summary of the game...

Take care! ~ ~ ~
