all would like to see it! The URL is

There's not much to it yet...but it will grow little by little each day
and hopefully be fully running by the time the season starts!
That's all for now...have a great day!!!

For those of you who may have not caught this in the NY Post, apparently a
biography about David Cone is in the making! *Yay* I think that's
wonderful, but it sounds like Cone won't get any profit from it? I know
he most likely doesn't need the money, but it's the principle. If it's a
book about his life, I think he should get something...what do you all
think?

Queen and the rest of the court, I feel that if it is an unofficial biography, he shouldn't get any money for it. If it was an autobiography, I feel, and know, that he would benefit from the book. If he has *any* say in the book that is coming out, perhaps a small profit should go to him. Just my thoughts!! The jester eckman |

Jessica-- what a great story! :) What's funny is I very well could have
seen Cone play when he was with the Omaha Royals. My dad used to take my
sister and me to Rosenblatt Stadium at least once a year to see a game!
Though I am too young to remember, it's interesting to think that I was
there when he was! :)

I have been a Yankees fan since early 1996. (I'm not a bandwagon fan -- if you want to know the whole long story, e-mail me!!) I was immediately intrigued by Derek Jeter -- his talent, his youth, his determination, his professionalism, his looks. As the years went on, David Wells became my second favorite player -- he was unrealistically normal, blessed with incredible talent, and he mastered Minnesota that star cross'd day in May. And David Cone fit that description, minus Minnesota. My admiration for pitching and the "Old School", low scoring style of play attracted me to the pitchers. When Boomer left, I literally cried for days. Coney was bumped up to 2nd in my book. In 1999, I had my first oppurtunity to go to a Major League Baseball game. I keep a schedule by my bed (okay, that's obsessed, I know), and I wrote down who pitched every game. I had two games to choose from, one supposed to be started by Hideki Irabu, the other supposed to be started by Roger Clemens. As a former Wells fan, I despised the "Rocket" in 1999 (I don't quite hate him right now), so I decided to go to Irabu's game, a Sunday start. I wasn't a big Hideki fan, and I was afraid he'd lose, but I didn't have much of a choice. But I was psyched Sunday morning -- Yankee Stadium, here I come!! Well I was wrong about two things that Sunday -- I had bad directions (I got my mom lost) and Hideki didn't start. Four tickets -- $56 Getting mother lost in the Bronx -- sanity One official Program -- $5 Two hot dogs, and one hamburger -- $10.25 First Major League Baseball Game -- Yogi Berra Day -- David Cone's Perfect Game -- PRICELESS |

| Subject: | Coney was on FOX 5 News tonight! |
Here in NYC, the FOX 5 10 o'clock news showed a brief interview with Coney. He was gracious, as always. He has helped to raise $100,000 for Lou Gehrig's Disease. Coney said that he had become more involved in fundraising for the disease ever since Catfish Hunter's death, and that he expected more Yankees to join him. He also said that he was looking forward to pitchers & catchers, and that he'd had a short off season but didn't mind (of course). He noted that he had "quite a few miles" on his arm, but smiled as he said it. It was nice seeing him. Thought you might like to hear about it. Cheers, Felecia, aka Superunknown |

| Subject: | Coney's autograph show |
I wanted to tell everyone about my experience Saturday at an autograph show meeting Coney. He was there along with David Wells, Yogi Berra, Don Larsen and several other past & present major-leaguers. David Wells didn't seem too thrilled to be there. He was going really fast signing the autographs & barely looked up, unless you made some comment that got his attention. I told him we missed him here & he said a sarcastic, "Yeah." But he did look up for a picture after I asked him to. Yogi & Don Larsen were very nice & personable. But the best was Coney!! He was there ALL DAY because he took his time with each person. He talked to everyone, let people come behind his table & would stand up to take pictures with him. When it was my turn, the guy in front of me wouldn't leave and they had already handed Coney my baseball to sign. (It was one I got from the stadium about 3 years ago. I was sitting near the bullpen & one of the pitchers threw me the ball. So I was saving it for a special Yankee to sign.) So anyaway, when David picked it up, he said, "Wow, this is a real one. Who's is this?" I said, "It's MINE!!", practically pushing the guy in front of me out of the way (his turn was over, damnit!!) So we were talking about the baseball & he was signing & asked if I wanted anything special written on it. I told him I was so happy he was staying, that I thought he was an incredible pitcher & that I wanted him to remain a Yankee forever. He kept smiling & saying "thank you". Then after he was done signing, he put his arm around me & waited for everyone to take tons of pictures. Then he gave me a little hug & let me go. It was so cool! I had the best time! It was amazing how accomodating he was. I've been to alot of these shows & I have NEVER seen the guys take so much time with each person. I really gained a lot of respect for him that day. Anyway, sorry this is so long, but I just wanted to tell you guys how wonderful he really is!! Kathy |

Have any of my fellow Coney's Courters seen him pitch when u went to a game.
I saw Coney pitch on Sept. 25th 1999 @ Yankee Stadium vs. the Devil Rays.
They lost 2-1, but he pitched well, with 10 k's.

Hi everyone!! Yes, I have seen Coney pitch -- just once, on my first and only Major League Baseball Game -- July 18, 1999. Not a single day goes by, honest to God, that I don't think about that game. Everything was unbelievable, everything was perfect. YankeeCindy |
