| Date: 14 July 2004 Q. Why did God made man and woman! A. God made man and woman so that they could enjoy each other's company (Genesis 2:18), so that they could produce many children to fill the earth and take control of it (Genesis 1:28), and so that God Himself could enjoy their company! (Genesis 3:8,9). Q. Why do I live in earth! A. We live here on earth only temporarily. It is a "stepping stone" to eternal life either with God in heaven, or in hell (a really bad place which you don't want to go to). During our life on earth, apart from enjoying it, we are learning many lessons to prepare us for eternity. The most important lesson we need to learn is to be humble and not proud; to rely on God and love Him with all our heart, especially loving Jesus because He died for our sins. When we have learnt that lesson, we are ready for heaven!! Q. How come some people when they eat junk food they grow fat and other people dont. A. Every person's body has a different metabolism. (Metabolism means how fast your body uses up energy.) People who have a slower metabolism don't use up as much energy, so all the left over energy from food they eat gets stored as fat in the body! Because junk food has lots and lots of energy, it is very easy to become fat if you don't have a high metabolic rate! Q. Why when ladies get pregnent that they bleed from there rode spot A. Ladies bleed from that spot between their legs for a few reasons. 1. Every month they bleed from there as part of their "menstrual cycle". Every month a woman produces an egg in her ovaries deep in her stomach. At the same time, her womb produces extra food so that if the egg is fertilised by a sperm from a man, the new growing baby can have something to eat. If there is no growing baby, the egg just keeps on passing through the womb, and that build up of food (which is red in colour and looks like blood) comes out. 2. The very first time a woman has sex with a man, a part of her body called the 'hymen' tears, and this bleeds. 3. When a woman gives birth to her child, after the baby comes out from her womb, other stuff comes out from her womb, too, which is red in colour. This includes the placenta. This is all the left over stuff from where the baby was feeding on. Q. Why do we have names. A. We have names so that instead of saying "Hey, you", we can be more personal when talking with other people! Names also help us to identify people from other people. Names often are also given because they somehow represent the character of the person! Names can also represent a "job description" or somehow might indicate what that person might do when they get older. For example, the name "Jesus" means Saviour, that is, someone who was going to save his people! Sarah means "princess"! Q. Why do we have family's A. We have families because that is the way God designed for humans to be brought up. God knows we need love, care, and affection, and we need both a mum and dad to help us grow up to become mature and wise people. Families are God's design to make sure we are cared for. Q. Why do we have pets? A. God made animals for our enjoyment! We have pets because we like animals and want to care for them. Q. Why are a mens and ladies body's different? A. Mens and ladies bodies are different because they have different roles to play in life. For example, God designed for the woman to carry the baby in her womb and feed it. But both man and woman are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and are equally special to God. No one is "better" than the other. Q. Why do we die? A. In the beginning of the world there was no death. No one died. Death only entered the world after the first people, Adam and Eve, disobeyed God and sinned (Genesis 2:16; 3:17-19). Ever since then, the whole of creation has been subject to decay (Romans 8:20-21). Everything is decaying or dying. But there is coming a day when God will make a new heaven and a new earth in which there is no more sin, suffering, and death (Revelation 21:1-4; 22:1-3). The Bible says:"The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23). Q. Why can't we see god face to face. A. People saw God face-to-face when they saw Jesus, because Jesus is God in the flesh. We can't see Jesus today because He is in heaven. But don't be disappointed. Jesus said, "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." (John 20:29). But note: no-one has ever seen God in all His glory face-to-face, because God Himself said: "You cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live." (Exodus 33:20). Q. Why did god create the world. A. I think God created the world because He loves being creative! Human beings are the most important thing He made, and all the rest of creation is like "our home". God made us so that He could share His love with us, and we could enjoy His love and enjoy loving Him!! (cf Revelation 21:3) Remember, the Bible says "God is love" (1 John 4:8). |
