This website is a collaborative project in Communication Research 101 (Introduction to Communication Research) put together by a group of journalism students from the University of the Philippines.
This timeline traces the history of what Wilbur Schramm once termed as a "crossroads discipline," from its Aristotlean beginnings up to the present trends in the field. Putting everything into context is a section on communication research and its developments in the Philippines.
Except for suma-total, a simple summary in the students' own words, the information found on these links are mostly lifted from authoritative reference books at the UP College of Mass Communication.
