The coalition focuses on bringing awareness to tobacco issues. As a coalition, we support re-establishing local control related to tobacco.
We are always looking for passionate members to join the coalition. If you would like to join, please fill out the form on the right and a representative of the coalition will contact you. Our meetings are typically on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at a smoke free restaurant in the community.
Partner Agencies Include:
American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, Linn County Medical Society, Cedar Rapids Police Department, Healthy Linn Care Network, St. Luke's Hospital, Mercy Medical Center.
A diverse group of individuals and agencies dedicated to prevention, cessation and education of tobacco and related issues in Linn, Benton and Jones Counties.
Coalition Goals
* Prevent the initiation of tobacco use among youth
* Promote cessation opportunities and services
* Eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke
* Eliminate disparities among population groups.
