I love this game! Um...well, duh. I only made a site about it.
This game had the best story out of all the games I've ever played. It's interesting and different from the typical save-the-world type rpg. I loved it from the beginning to the very end. It's very original, and I think it's pretty damn funny. Even though the graphics aren't that good, they don't completely suck, and the game looks really cool with a style of it's own.
You get to choose what Ari, the main character says, and the choices are fun. I usually seem to like choice 3....heh. I like some of the characters a lot, but there are at least two I don't like at all, so it's good that you get to pick your own party whenever you're at a save point instead of being forced to fight with whoever they tell you to.
The dungeons can be a little frustrating, but even though they all look the same, some of them can be pretty cool for rpg dungeons. There were at least too dungeons that I remember being kind of cool. There was one with riddles and another that had a big puzzle thing. They were both still frustrating though.
I've read plenty of Okage reviews complaining about the battle system. Well, it wasn't particularly good, but if an rpg has a kinda crappy one, I wouldn't even notice because no matter what fights bug me from time to time. I guess it's true that the battle system sucks, but the little enemies you run into are really freaking weird, so that can make some annoying little fights interesting the first time you run into a certain thing anyway. At least the ghosts that are floating around are pretty easy to avoid.
The whole game was sort of twisted, and any twisted person should love it. There were some things about it I liked so so much.
