| During the recording of the third studio album, the girls decided to seek the talents of Stock, Aitken and Waterman. Although the majority of the tracks were produced by Sawin and Jolley, SAW produced the hit VENUS after Siobhan pursuaded them that, as a single, VENUS would work if it sounded more like Dead or Alive's 'You Spin Me Round'. Sure enough, VENUS was a huge global hitting, getting the girls to #1 in eight countries! Due to the change in producers, some tracks on the album don't seem to flow, and mix from the darker lyrics of 'Hooked on Love' and 'Cut Above the Rest', to the poppy SAW produced tracks. The album charted at #15 in the charts and is a firm favourite among the fans. |
