| Undoubtebly Bananarama's biggest hit and most recognisable single. VENUS hit the top of the charts in seven different countries including America and Canada. VENUS was the first single of the 'Nanas that was produced by SAW, and, ironically, SA and W didn't think that it would be that much of a hit. The single was promoted a lot, and even had it's own 'Making of...' featured on MTV. Remixes of the single, the Hellfire Mix, and the Fire and Brimstone Mix were also released on 12" along with a 7" picture disc. Despite the promotion, VENUS stalled at number eight in the UK Charts, but still remains one of their highest ranking singles. |
