Are You Blesased?
Often times when we think of being blessed we equate it with material things or even social standings. It is often related to a career, a postion, or personal elavation, etc., and all these rightly so. But no matter how high or how low you may be on the social later Ask yourself this question, "Am I blessed?"
The Christian man can say with confidence, "God blessed me with a good job." What about the sinner man who can puff up his proud chest and say, "I am blessed with a much better job than you, you work for me." "Are you blessed?"
You testify on how blessed you are with a new beautiful house, and a flood comes along, wipes everything away, your insurance didn't cover floods. Your atheist neighbor looks out after the storm and says, "I'm sure blessed nothing happened to my home, even my flowers still remain." "Are you blessed?"
I could go on and on with examples but I think you get the point, being blessed goes far beyond what we have or where we stand among others. Sometines what we think we are so blessed with my not be a gift from God but a reward from the devil that will keep you from your potential in God's purpose for you. Satin will put thinks in your life to keep you from giving your all to God, just as God will allow things to be taken from you to bring you closer to Him. You see God wants us to understand that being blessed of Him goes far beyond the material and physical of our lives and Jesus gives us the perfect lesson on this and what it means to be truly blessed. In the teachings of Christ we find being blessed far beyond that for which satin would ever give. It is between you and God the truth of your blessings be they of Him or aprt from Him.

Mathew 5: 1-12
1. Now when He saw the crowds, He went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2. and he began to teach them, saying:

3. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
