8cm DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD-RAM Camcorder Media
the 8cm DVD recordable media specially designed for use with video cameras.
Hitachi and Panasonic camcorders use DVD-RAM and DVD-R while Sony camcorders use the DVD-R and DVD-RW but without a caddy or disc holder. The Hitachi camcorders have gone from using the square caddy disc to a round holder for the disc. See MINI-DVD Media and Hitachi for more details.
