Hitachi DZMV380
The chart below shows the progression of camcorder (Hitachi) dvd media over
the last few years, going from a dvd-ram cartridge to the improved holder type
device which makes it easier to remove the disc for playback in a dvd player.
The camcorder models from Hitachi have also been reduced in size. The DZMV350
model is very compact, lightweight and easy to use. Anyone who has basic
knowledge of camcorder operation will easily navigate around the controls and
record/playback video using the random access disc media.

The holder is a plastic top and
connected bottom flip open case for the 8cm dvd. There is a gap (open) area in the
holder that exposes the disc surface for recording and playback. The holder is
inserted into the camera slot (disc eject) on the right side of the camcorder
(opposite side of the lcd screen) oriented so that the gap area is towards the
front (lens side) of the camcorder with the gap area side of the holder towards
the camera body (disc drive). The holder comes with the disc when purchased. To
open the holder, you just press both sides of the holder in the appropriate
