International
Collie Conference to be held in
conjunction with the National Collie
Show, Monday June 1st
The Conference will be held in the
Amenities Building at Erskine Park 0900
–1515. (Coffee and Registration 0830)
The conference promises to be
interesting, informative and thought
provoking! Something not to miss!
In the morning session we will
concentrate on the Classic Collie. What
is it? What has happened to the Classic
Collie? Is the Classic Collie no more? A
number of speakers from Australia and
overseas will address this issue, with
plenty of time for questions and
discussion. The International Collie
Society suggested this as an extremely
relevant issue.
Before lunch, Lyn Pinosa will talk about
alternate therapies.
The after lunch session will address
“Issues surrounding the future of the
Breed”. Several speakers, Dr Marilyn
Gill, George Sofronidis and Dr John
Newell under the Chairmanship of Dr
Karen Hedberg will address issues
including mating, breeding and newborns,
frozen semen and genetic testing. Again,
there will be plenty of time to ask
questions and participate in a panel
discussion.
While there is no formal registration
for the conference, it would be
appreciated if those interested could
indicate interest by emailing Sheila
Walker at
[email protected]
This will facilitate catering
and seating!
There is no charge but we will ask for
gold coin donations, to assist with
catering.
This should be a very worthwhile
conference of great value to the Collie
community.
