Sydney

Sydney and its surrounding areas offer a vast range of things to do, on one of your free days you may wish to take in the sights of our wonderful city and for unrivalled views there is nothing better than those seen from the top of Centrepoint Tower. Sydney's skyline has changed considerably over the past quarter of a century but one iconic building still stands heads and shoulders above the rest, Sydney Tower. The golden minaret-topped spike remains Sydney's most prominent landmark and one of the city's must-see icons, home to the fantastic attraction duo of Sydney Tower and OzTrek.
A bonus for every visitor taking the ride to the top is a journey aboard Sydney Tower OzTrek. The largest simulated ride in the Southern Hemisphere, OzTrek see visitors in moving seats whisked away on an exciting magic carpet ride across Australia. More than double the height of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and six times as high as Niagara Falls, the 260 meter-high Sydney Tower is the tallest structure in Australia.

Sydney Taronga Zoo is a short ferry ride across the Harbour, and one of the most beautiful zoos in the world and home to the largest native and exotic animal collections in NSW. The giraffes enjoy million dollar views of the city from their enclosure. Featherdale Wildlife Park is a short ride from the Holiday Inn and allows visitors the opportunity of getting up close to the kangaroos and you can cuddle a Koala.

Of course there is always shopping and Sydney’s cosmopolitan shops will allow you to shop till you drop. Visit China Town and its gardens, Darling Harbour, stroll around The Rocks area, or the Botanical Gardens, the Opera House offers guided tours and for    the more energetic there’s the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb, - a birds eye view of the harbour from its summit of  134 metres.

At the end of the day you can relax in one of the many bars and cafes along water front, watch the sun set and witness the harbour city don its sparking evening wear as night falls.
For those of you planning on extending your stay Australia offers beautiful and affordable destinations, Ularu (Ayres Rock) in the red centre is a popular tourist destination

and the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of tropical North Queensland is well worth a visit time permitting.
