Let the Journey Begin :)
I made a doctor's appointment for Friday to see the Dr. for this "foaming" I'm getting when I eat and drink. I am thinking it could be dripping sinus going into my stomach and then when I try to eat or drink, the little pouch is already full with all this mucus/sinus drippings. Ugh, such a pain. I just cannot eat anything, it's so discouraging. So hopefully, I will get a pill to break up the congestion and all will be fine and I will live a happy life. One thing though, is that I'm NEVER hungry!!! NEVER!!!! Maybe because my stomach is always FULL of fluids it never thinks its hungry....sheesh, hope I get better soon, because protein and water have been my enemy since this surgery and I don't want serious health issues to come on. I have really been eating so little and water is the same. I will write again when I come back from the Dr.
Oh, also, I'm down 50 pounds today!!!!! wooo hoooo ---- I have to start eating or this weight loss will stop completely!!!!! Not bad for 7 weeks and 2 days (who says I'm counting...lol). I am happy about the loss, but look down the road for how much there is still to go and it's a bit overwhelming..but I'm in it for the long-haul (uh huh, like I have a choice, lol) and I can't wait to be one year post-op and see where I have come....it's gonna be quite a ride..can't wait...

February 1, 2002 - (Friday)
In honor of Valentine's Day, I've updated my webpage for the holiday. I love thinking about the upcoming holiday and planning how am I going to change it. I've had Valentine's Day ready for a month...ok, I'm a big idiot with WAYYYYY TOO MUCH TIME on my hands!!! But hey, if it makes me happy, I'm all for it. So the theme for this month's updates is Valentines.....then I will move onto St. Patrick's Day, etc. etc. Yes, St. Patrick's Day is already being worked on....lmao!!!!!
I just got back from the Dr. (and also from my manicure and pedicure...tell me I'm not happy now!!!!). He is stumped about the way I feel and said he will treat me for sinus and see what happens. He also wants me to start taking my stomach medication (Zantac) that I used to take for acid reflux (which I haven't taken since way before the surgery). I hope this helps. I was reading on Spotlight Health.com that someone there took some drug and brought the printout of the post to the Dr. today. He said that drug is an anti-depressant and the side effect is the drying out of the mouth/sinus. SOoooooooo, I'd rather treat it this way than take an anti-depressant when I'm not depressed. Hope it helps, because my eating and drinking are pretty much non-existant.
No great plans for the weekend, I hope I get to go to the movies to see A Beautiful Mind. The weather here is really weird...it's bright out one minute and then dark as night the next....also followed by a strong rainfall and then it stops. It's cold out today, I guess warm for winter, it's 47 degrees. I guess I'm cold right now because I just got home from my pedicure with flip flops and have to wait to put my socks back on!!! Can't wait to go to bed with my nice smooth feet!!
Overall, I'm really feeling great except for the fact that I can't eat and water consumption is limited. Hoping I have better news to report next week on the eating/drinking. I did already drink 20 oz. at the manicure place so that's start.

February 4, 2002 - (Monday)
Not much to report today. I got medicine from my doctor for the congestion/foaming problem, but I still have the symptoms. Not saying it's not somewhat better, but I still am throwing up my food. Will be going back or calling the doctor again this week and see what he suggest I do. I'm sure he'll have to consult with the surgeon.... Ugh.....hate the thought of someone going down my throat with the endoscope to see if I have a blockage but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.....I just hope whatever it is, I get better soon and will be able to eat normally (or somehwat normally) SOOOOOOOOON!!!!!!!!!!!! It sucks, BIG TIME, not being able to keep my food down and running to the bathroom to throw up this foam....Ugh!!!
We went to the movies this past weekend and say A Beautiful Mind. It was really really good. Russell Crowe deserves that Oscar (I think).... No popcorn for me at the movies but I did try a bite of a pretzel and it wasn't good for my stomach, felt like it was getting stuck so I threw it out. Boy I wanted that pretzel really really badly but it didn't like me!!!!
