After all that I learned, I am sure that I don't want to be the average American media consumer.
So...I decided to look into alternative sources of news, ones that were not under control of either Clear Channel nor conservatively slanted.
GUESS WHAT!?!? I found a few!!
The BBC (British Broadcasting System)-Provides a less conservative viewpoint of U.S. affairs (though some argue that it is lliberally slanted towards global issues.
The Japan Times-A good example of an alternate view of United States or international affairs.
Le Monde-From Paris, France-The French hate us...you can tell by the way that they spin their stories. Just kidding, but they do have a somewhat negative slant of U.S. affairs.
And just for kicks...The Onion...this is a hilarious website. It has everything.
These are just a few website sources from which one is able to find alternative viewpoint on the news. So don't panic...educate yourselves and everything will be just fine.
