CLEAR CHANNEL
After
being semi-discouraged by Fox's liberal slandering, I thought that I'd leave
the world of television behind altogether and move on to good, old-fashioned
radio. Radio would give me the full story. Or so I thought. But oh how very
wrong I was. It turns out that the world of radio has been completely monopolized.
I guess I should have expected as much. After a small amount of research I
found that a company called Clear Channel owns over 12,000 radio stations
in the nation and even more throughout the world. If you thought that your
local radio station was giving you the full story, think again. If your radio
station is owned by Clear Channel, you may be hearing only what THEY want
you to...Frightening, isn't it?
CLEAR CHANNEL AND FOX
Further research led me to find out that Clear Channel also owns some television stations as well. And guess who they recently made a partner....? FOX!! Chances are, that although Clear Channel isn't quite as obvious as Fox, the company tends to lean more towards the right. So it leads me to wonder...how much of what we hear through radio is the truth? How much of the story are we actually getting? If Clear Channel owns the majority of the radio stations and Fox continues to be the number one rated news station in the country, do we, the citizens of the United States, really know what we think we know?
