My Relationship with Technology: The Media and Me
When first asked to consider my relationship with technology I was confused. I hear the term "technology" thrown around so much and don't ever stop to think about what it means. So I asked myself the question: what is technology? As I searched for the answer to this question I realized that I am so immersed in the technological world that I completely take it for granted. Every time that I check my email, watch my favorite TV show, talk on my phone, or listen to my favorite song, I am doing so through the use of today's technological advancements.
After much consideration, I chose to focus my webpage on the media and the role that it plays in my life. I am an avid watcher of the news and I love to keep up with current events. Yet, there are many instances in which I am skeptical of the information that I recieve. A lot of the time I feel like the information is "fed" to me through television and the newspaper. Now, I try as much as I can not to be the average, impressionable American who eats up everything that is put in front of him or her. So I decided to take a closer look at the media...
