Hunger Defense Fund |
The Hunger Defense Fund, a non-profit food bank in Santa Clarita is
participating in an effort to raise as much food and monetary donations as
they can for March and April. There are collecting bins set up in the Administrative building, the library, and S-111. If you want your points, make sure you drop off your items in S-111. Right now, the Hunger Defense Fund says that their biggest needs are the following: Canned Goods: Meat, pasta sauce, pasta (Spaghetti-O’s), vegetables, fruit, beans, chili, and soup. Dry Goods: spaghetti, rice, pinto beans, crackers, ramen noodles, cereal, and oatmeal. Personal Hygiene Items: soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products. * These events are group service projects. For each hour you participate, you will receive one point.
** These events can only count towards your additional volunteer service points. Don't forget to fill out the Service Project Form and provide proof of participation.
