Heifers and steers that are purchased in the Coby Classic Sale are eligible for showing by a youth in the NYJBPA Fall Festival on Sunday, October 16^th.

The NY Fall Festival is a fun and educational program for all youth interested in the beef industry.

Three divisions: Pee Wee (8 and under), Junior (9 to 13), Senior (14 to 21)

--Age as of January 1st, 2005--

*Meats Identification Evaluation* 5:00pm on Friday, October 14^th

This may be a new experience for some people, so there will be a brief overview of what you should look for, and an explanation on how to evaluate and place a class of meat cuts. Identification of beef cuts will be a component of this contest as well.

*Cattle Judging Contest* 8:30am Saturday October 15^th

Judge 3 groups of cattle. Reasons to follow on one class for Seniors.

*Beef Practical Challenge Contest* 9:30am-1:00pm Saturday, October 15^th

Part 1-Written quiz on general knowledge of the beef industry. Multiple choice and true/false questions.

Part 2-Identification of equipment and tools used in the beef industry.
