Here’s a docile Baldie out of a Black Angus cow possessing New Trend 315
Bloodlines and a Polled Hereford bull by the name of SPF 3008 Raising Kane.
This steer’s paternal grandsire, FELTONS 3008, is the top indexing bull in the
entire Polled Hereford breed for marbling.
This calf is loaded with
spring of rib and capacity. He also has a great appetite and seems to be able
to grow hair very easily. Although he was born in mid April, he’s as big as our
early March calves. I have no doubt that this calve can easily be in the
1200-1300 lb. range by the beginning of next year’s summer show season.
