Hmm...

May 6, 2003

I would like to apologize for my updating aptness for the past few days, as in I haven't. I am about this close to deciding to change my layout to frames but will not yet. I am completely exhausted. I need to redo the autobiography since I don't like how I did it. Alas...I think I got four hours of sleep last night and I slept through most of Spanish. I am also extremely disconsolate right now. I think when I get home I'll just have to sleep. Yes, maybe all I need is a little sleep.

AIMS...what a drag

April 29, 2003

Oh jeez, another AIMS testing day. AND it's the reading portion. Oh boy, exciting stuff. I almost felt like grabbing a sponge for that old guy(refer to the previous entry). Yes, that much excitement and joy. I got done with it fairly quickly and spent the rest of the hour playing random card games. During lunch, SOMEONE insulted my grass jelly drink. I like them, and anyone who disagrees can go drink something else. After that, there was the whole algebra, spanish, biology combo. I fear I will get another B in Spanish and it sucks. I should petition her to remove her grades from my transcript. I already have the credit for the second year of Spanish and don't need her B's that she seems very willing to give to me. I really hate her class. After school...there was some National Honor society meeting and people were elected into various leadership positions. After school, I took a nap. When I awoke, I wasted some time, watched Smallville(hehe, I wish Lana and Clark would hurry up and get together), and did my homework. I finished all but the project/essays. That is, I didn't do my autobiography or the packet of crap. I really don't feel like doing them, but I will... After reading some of the book The Water is Wide by Pat Conroy(which I got on Friday instead of Brave New World since I already read it), I went to sleep. I just don't like that AIMS test. I guess that if all these IB kids do well, then the school might not be declared failing, which is good, but the least they could do is allow us to leave when finished. Holding us in a classroom for three hours is not good...

Non-updation record is broken!

April 24, 2003-April 28, 2003

I apologize for all the non-updating. I've just been wicked busy and well, I dunno what else to say. Really, I think it's because I am a bit lazy but I'll just keep that between whoever reads this and me. Umm, wow. It's been like...almost a week without updates, an all-time non-updation(yes, I know it's not a word...). I know my usual monologue-like style of writing is long and dreary, so...I'll just try to hit the highlights of each day...

Thursday April 24, 2003
Well, let's see...nothing really exciting happened. There was some test and random other crap of inane banter along with the laziness...OH! Sabrina is over. I watched the very first episode and the very last. It's the first show I've ever seen from beginning to the end. It was an okay show that I was pratically obsessed with a few years ago but lost interest in. I guess thought that there are only so many themes for a show that can happen before it has to end...yeah, and that was it for the day.

Friday April 25, 2003
Hmm, well the only highlight of today was after school. During school, I skipped Spanish club, which I shouldn't have but did it so that I could sell sandwiches for Interact Club. Anyways, after school I went to FCBC for some basketball with Loren only that we got there a bit late(due to some person wanting to pick up a wiffle ball) and got very little time to do anything before it was time for the "Dicipleship Training" thing that we have. Only five people, besides the teacher, showed up. We have always had a great turn-out for the class all the two previous times of meeting. I think we had seven or eight before. Yeah, losing people, but what do ya do? That was all the excitement for the day.

Saturday April 26, 2003
Heh, I got up like at ten or eleven today, the first time I've got to sleep-in in...damn, a really long time. I can't even remember the last time. Well, I slept in and sometime later went to the Asian Festival. That was the highlight. It was also really boring...If I were to be engaged in a staring contest with the wall, I would have had more fun. The only good thing about the festival were the Lao girls(I'm guessing that people from Laos are Lao but may be wrong). They were...cute. Hehe, but still, the festival was a drag. I saw this one white guy who runs a martial arts dojo with white students and wanted to jump him. I just...don't like the man. I would've probably been subdued but still, I don't like the guy(by probably I really meant most definately). The rest of the day is not unimportant but not worth mentioning and wasting the time on. Well, there was the whole getting a hair cut thing, which the guy screwed up on, but that's not worth mentioning. Well, all I'll say is that I think it looks like crap. He cut it way too damn short on the top and doesn't know what he was doing. I can't believe he screwed up such a simple cut. Now, it'll be like this for at least a week and it sucks. Stupid hair cutter guy.

Sunday April 27, 2003
Well, I plan to give a more detailed report of what happened this day than Thursday, Friday, and Saturday(primarily because A. It was more exciting and B. I remember more). Well, really this day was no more exciting than giving a sponge bath to an eighty year old man, if you know what I meant(which I hope you don't as I believe that would scar me for life). I went to CCoC for Sunday school and service. I went over to the FCBC after that. I kinda miss being a real part of the youth group...I felt like I kinda belonged and everything. Even though I am only half Chinese, I felt Asian. In Norman, all was white. But here...Anyways, I went over. I played some basketball. I almost beat Loren! I had like...eighteen points. He had like five. All I needed was another three(I had made all three "swish"es the whole time). He started getting competitive and I remained passive at this point. He got really, really competitive and won the game. I got ripped and that's all I have to say on that. In Chinese school, today was the final. I passed all four parts of it with flying colors(or however the cliche` goes). Then, I went back down and played some more basketball. Certain people kept approaching me to tell me to come to the go carting thing. It's to be next week without postponement. It's amazing that it didn't somehow get postponed...I want to go, but next week is graduation(from Chinese school) and I'm not exactly feeling like I will be fitting in as well as when I was a regular. I might go, we'll see how it turns out. After that, we went back to the Asian festival thingy. We missed the lion/dragon dance! I can't believe it...well today there were more good performances. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing this time around, despite the absence of any cute girls. After that, we went to church again(night service, like every week despite my not going to them). There was a showcase of LTC(leadership training for Christ). I remember doing that in years past before I moved...it was soo fun yet competitive. I lead two song, and my heart had to have beating at least two hundred times per second. I was nervous, as the previous sentence may have inferred. VERY nervous. I chose out..."You are my all in all" and some other good song that I also enjoy. The rest of the night had other youth doing sermons, leading songs, having choirs(large and small) sing, and at the very end, had all youth come out and lead "The Greatest Command"(one of my favorites). Afterwards, there was dinner, which was okay. I ate a bit then went outside and played some basketball. I had some fun but had to go. I turned in my application for YouthWave(which was due like two weeks ago but was allowed to be turned in this week). It's this thing that helps to prepare youth to share the gospel. We have seminars(which instruct us on how we should go about it) then go out and apply the teachings in various places. It might be fun, but I'm still a bit unnerved by the whole sharing the gospel part of it....hehe. That was it for the day.

Monday April 28, 2003
Ya know, this whole non-internet thing is not making me happy. I get more sleep, but who needs sleep? Come on now! Well, AIMS testing(math) for sophomores(and those who didn't pass before) was today. It's not even worth my time. It is extremely easy. I breezed right through it. The rest of the three hours was spent playing cards. During lunch, there was no Close Up meeting(I just...that club makes me unhappy). I instead played cards outside...Then there was physics, econ, and english. Nothing fun. After school, there was some boy scout meeting(which was over almost as soon as it began), and that was the day. These AIMS tests are seemingly really easy...I don't even know why we have to take time out of our education for this crap, but I guess I can't complain since next year I'll be sleeping in, hehe.

Stuff is revealed!

April 23, 2003

Yes, I finally decided to tell what this "stuff" is that I've been talking about for like...a week and a half or something. But, first you'll have to read through the whole thing...'cause I'll just throw it in somewhere and you'll miss it if you scan the thing...I did homework again in the morning. I can't help but wasted time at home. It's pretty bad and getting worse. Physics...algebra...ya. Same as the days before. I finished one of the algebra assignments in class! It was due two days ago, though... In econ we got this huge packet of stuff. I swear I'm going to fail the class...five two page papers and ninety vocabulary words. Mr. Preston is crazy and senile. He needs to retire so that no other future International Baccalaurean has to deal with him. Español...I am just gonna fail the class... I give up. I have a B! Alas...During lunch we played several different card games: Black Jack, Poker, Old Maid, and Spoons. There might've been others, but I didn't see it. There was ACE testing again in English and in Biology we watched "The Miracle of Life." It's an interesting video that I've only watched twenty times in health-type classes. The whole birthing experience looks very, very painful and I am soooo glad I will never experience that. Most were laughing up until the whole fetal development and birthing. Yeah, I don't see how anyone can laugh at the birth. After school I went to my home. Okay, here's where I'll tell you what all that "stuff" was...It was my moving...again. Yes, I moved again, and the house is actually pretty cool. Maybe that wasn't as mysterious as I had made it out to be, but I bet that most were in suspense of the two people who read it(me and my imaginary friend Joe). Yes, so...ya. I dunno what else to write. I played some more Mah Johng, watched TV, and played video games. ANGEL!! I can't believe it. The story is pretty twisted. I don't know why I watch that crap, but I do. It's all good though and I somehow derive entertainment from it all... Then, I did my homework!!! I actually did my homework! It's pretty exciting since I haven't been doing any of it...it's just wild for meh. I got most of it done minus some of the lab write-up, reading like twenty pages of a really easy to read book, and a quick biology paper. I am soo proud of myself. You should be proud of me too!

National Honor Society!!!

April 22, 2003

Hmm, again I have not done my homework. So, again I had to wake up early and do it. I ate some breakfast, which I haven't done in a very, very long time. I had some blueberry pancakes with some syrup. It was the best.
In physics, we had a lab... After the initial twenty minutes of not doing it(and after he had already explained it) we finally got it and began. We got it done quickly(since we had only like five minutes) as the bell rang. In Algebra, I didn't do the homework, but at least there was no homework for tonight! Now, I can get the two done! Hehe, this made the day at least a bit better. In econ, we finished Pleasantville but(as I knew it would happen) we have a page paper to write tonight...stupid papers that we have to write... In Spanish we had a quiz thing that I didn't study much of. I think I got an A or B. I'm not extremely sure of myself, though. There was homework on the board that I didn't know that we were supposed to do, but I got it from someone at lunch. During lunch, we played spoons. It's a great game, because I haven't lost since we started. I love that. In English we have that really stupid ACE testing thing. I decided not to write a rough draft like last semester. I put waaaay too much effort into it. It's such an easy test that I don't really care. I almost got it done, but not quite. Jeez, the page was soo messy. In biology, we did some "review," which was a talk session for most of the people. It was dumb. The last half of the class, we went to watch the freshman softball game. They got raped by Camelback. I bet they lost by the "twenty ahead" thing, where if a team gets ahead by twenty points, they automatically win. North's team was just...not trying it seemed. After school, I played some Mah Johng. I won a lot of money off of the other players(my brother and mom). It was all play money, but it was still a lot. I had fun. This is a new table and is pretty cool. It was like specially designed for Mah Johng. Afterwards, I had to get ready for my National Honor Society induction thingy. I talked with some other people about wearing a suit, jokingly, but I decided to really wear one and look spiffy(or however you spell it). I got there like really early, since my sister gets back today and my mom had to get there before it landed(at 6:50). I went over and had a great time. Loren wore a suit and some of the ladies wore dresses. There was one that really was...absolutely beautiful. We were to write something about "Good Education is..." then finish the sentence. I said "...is hard to come by but extremely valuable," or something. Kinda cheesy but true. Afterwards, my mom came. Yeah, she was just a bit late. We go home, and I win some more Mah Johng. It's great fun. Then I went to sleep without doing my homework again, alas...

Bad day...

April 21, 2003

Okay, well today was interesting. Not really though...lemme see what was interesting enough to put in here...OH! I'm still procrastinating on my homework badly. I did it again in the morning but not all of it. Physics was just light stuff. Our group has been having an ongoing feud with this other group that refuses to give up the table that WE sat at originally. I dun really care but ya. We got the table today(we alternate...) then did some presentations. Algebra consisted of boringness and more stuff. I didn't do the homework, and I couldn't get it done in class like usual. It sucked. Econ was primarily consisting of the movie Pleasantville(or however you want to punctuate it). It is a semi-good movie. I kinda like it. It has that Toby person from Spiderman. Spanish consisted of some worksheet packet grading(something else I didn't do). I think I've lost a lot of points already. It's not fair how the class works. We get minus three off of ONE FOURTH of the grade. That means that if we chew gum by accident once, forget homework let's say twice, and were late for class once, then you already have a B on one-fourth of the grade. I just don't know. Lunch was Close Up...I don't even feel like dealing with it. Just refer to past Mondays and whatnot for info on the club. In English, we took this really dumb test thing that is like...for the district to see how well people are doing. It's really easy and stupid. In Biology, we took more notes on sexual reproduction. Yes, and the Freshmen are still being stupid. They are not okay either. It's dumber every class period, I swear. I guess I might be partially being dumb also, but no, it's not even the same level of stupidity. After school, I went to my house and spent some time around doing little more than nothing. Then, I went to boy scouts, which was...interesting. About fifteen minutes after the actual meeting had ended, my mom finally came and picked us up(me and my brother). Always late...Afterwards, I did absolutely nothing and went to sleep after a few TV shows...
