Educational Seminar: Generational Tension in the Workplace to be held at Capital University, Bexley, Ohio
|
|
|
A
more extensive educational seminar is sponsored by the organization on an
annual or biennial basis. A
deliberate emphasis is placed on accredited continuing education
offerings. Members frequently
participate in the health promotion activities of their local communities,
serve as speakers on health-related topics, and are strongly encouraged to
attend the semi-annual conferences of the Ohio Association of Occupational
Health Nurses, the annual conference of the American Association of
Occupational Health Nurses, and the annual Ohio Safety Congress.
The Central Ohio Association hosts the semi-annual conference of
the Ohio Association of Occupational Health Nurses every five and one half
years. A primary objective of
the association is to provide an opportunity for professional networking
and growth through meetings of and programs for its membership.
The association also functions to study legislative actions which
pertain to the field of occupational health nursing and communicates with
its members via meetings and its newsletter Shop Talk to keep its
membership informed about legislative issues.
The association is fundamentally concerned about supporting,
improving, and expanding the scope and practice of occupational and
environmental health nursing as a nursing specialty. |
