Site pages

Below are listed the pages of the site. Just click on the "chalkboard" to the left of each description to find out more on that particular topic.

Rather than reinterpreting the law, I've provided links directly to it!! Links to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), Texas Education Code of Discipline, and more.

My favorite topic, since I work in one! Here you'll find research regarding DAEPs and web sites of the schools themselves.
Many people are unfamiliar with this side of alternative education. Information is given for the Office of Juvenile Justice, as well as violence prevention programs, and phone numbers for our local (Williamson County, Texas) program.
Behavioral interventions are part of the steps that should be taken before considering removal of a special education student from the home campus. Listed are resources for behavior plans and definitions / symptoms of problematic behavioral disorders.
A page for all the sites that didn't seem to fit the other categories!! Tips for ARD committees, support sites for learning disabilities, parenting sites--anything that would help our teachers, administrators, and parents help our students.
