Definitively listed below are the rank structure within the society. There are time constraints for minimal membership, requirements to reach each level of the echelon, and additional responsibilities recquired for each rank of Prestige within the Society.
1. Gumshoe - ( G )
Abilities: one employed or engaged in obtaining general information, and accomplishing simple tasks expediently.
Minimum time requirement: 1 month. This does not include the time frame of tasks assigned for application of membership.
Additional Responsibilities: None
Badge of office: Copper (ooc: Not yet confirmed ICly)
2. Informer - ( F )
Abilities: one that imparts knowledge or news, and accomplishes moderate to difficult tasks, promptly and satisfactorily.
Minimum time requirement: 2-3 months
Additional Responsibilities: Assist Operatives, Investigators and Sleuths currently assigned to Element Leaders in significant investigations.
Badge of office: Iron (ooc: Not yet confirmed ICly)
3. Sleuth - ( S )
Abilities: to act as a detective and actively search for information that is somewhat difficult to obtain and able to complete extremely difficult tasks in an expedient manner.
Minimum time requirement: 3-5 months
Additional Responsibilities: Allowed to act as a mentor for possible Protégés/Protégées. Assist Operatives and Investigators currently assigned to Element Leaders in significant investigations.
Badge of office: Brass (ooc: Not yet confirmed ICly)
4. Investigator - ( I )
Abilities: to observe or study by close examination and systematic inquiry, and functions extremely well at keeping secret watch on a person or thing to obtain information.
Minimum Time Requirement: 6 months
Additional Responsibilities: Delegate simple tasks to gumshoes and Informers. Assist Operatives currently assigned in significant investigations. May apply to become a Element Leader.
Badge of office: Steel (ooc: Not yet confirmed ICly)
5. Operative - ( O )
Abilities: a secret agent, one engaged in getting obtaining information that is not readily or publicly accessible and also excels in the ability to maintain watch on a person or thing to obtain information.
Minimum Time Requirement: 6 months
Additional Responsibilities: Senior Leadership Positions Only, and outlined by the Society Leader
Requirements: Members appointed to these positions must show exemplary behavior and leadership qualities in order to obtain these positions.
Badges of office: Silver (ooc: currently only badge in use, so all members have it)
The time constraints for minimum membership requirements may be retarded IF a need arises within the Society. These should be judged on a case by case basis, as each situation arises. Rarely will the minimum time requirements be broken unless a vacancy must be filled within the Continuum.
