MOTORSPORT

Club VE is proudly CAMS affiliated. This means our motorsport members are entitled to hold a CAMS competitive licence, Club VE are able to play host to motor sport events, and all club organised events are covered for public liablilty.

CAMS also provides a number of training courses and programs to accredit volunteer officials. All training is free and ensures officials have the correct knowledge and skill set required for the role they intend to perform.
We encourage our motorsport members to obtain their L2S CAMS license, which is the basic club level motor sport licence and entitles the holder to compete in events such as sprint events, motorkhanas, khanacross and drifting events. CAMS L2S license form is available for download from the CAMS website here.

HILLCLIMB

Hillclimb is one of the oldest forms of competitive motor sport, the essence of hillclimbing is that a single car is on the track at a time running against the clock.
Part of the skill involved in hillclimbing is learning to drive the car quickly without the opportunity to warm tyres and brakes.
It therefore proves to be an invaluable training ground for drivers in all aspects of car control.

DRAG RACING

Loads of fun for the members to get together and see who can do the fastest time down the 1/4 mile straight track.

TRACK DAYS

Individual or small numbers of cars are released at regular intervals onto the track and generally complete several laps at a time racing against the clock, and not the other drivers out there at the time.
Cars range from standard road cars to highly modified race cars, and participants are sent out onto the track with other compatible vehicles that lap at similar speeds.
