Club M 0-0 Sotong Utd : FT Report

 

 

St Wilfrid Sports Complex - Torrential rain spoiled the friendly match between Club M and Sotong United here on Sunday afternoon which was stopped after 70 minutes of play due to heavy rain and thunder.

The weather was, indeed, great for a soccer match half -an-hour before the kick-off. However, the rain poured down so suddenly that the start of the match had to be delayed. The number of players who turned out for Club M was one of the highest this year with 15 lads being present. Furthermore, we had the welcome presence of Anwar, who is currently nursing a knee injury.

The dodos' manager was still missing in action. The squad is feeling currently 'lost' with the absence of their manager in the last few games of Club M.

Club M started the game cautiously, passing the ball around. The first half was dominated by the dodos and Alister, Fardin and Goulop all had scoring chances. The rain started to pour fiercely at the end of the first half, but the referee (whose performance was deeply regrettable during the match!) decided to go ahead with the game.

The dodos had some great chances of scoring a goal in the second half but luck was not on their side. After 15 minutes of play, the game had to be ended.
