Before modeling you ae goign to need ot know a few things about modle magic: MOdle Magic is non toxic, air dry modeling compound. If you are working a very dry atmosphere it wont take long for it to dry out. So working quickly wihtin 1 hour is essential. But the material is forgiving. the idea is basically learn how to model.
We will elarn later abotu making a mold from our finished pieces for more fun!

But for right now you want to work on simple designs. You can use an oven proppped open to and set at 200 degrees to speed up drying if you are happy withe the basic shapes.

TO begin, Spread out a clean tabelcloth. You want a clean area to work on as you will be lying pieces down on occassion.
begin by opening up a single package then another package. Using the school packs allows you less wastage.
Lay one slab on top of the pother. Squeeze gently the middle. This wil give you an ida of a basic shape. You want basic,, very basic. Then roll the two pieces otgether tomake one giant piece. Swueeze the middle and work the  basic shape,

You will be making just the body. YOu se eit has a slight bust,
and though you ant see it, it has a definte back and tush area.
After fiddleing wiht it to make it look like this or one of the other
many examples of these pages set it up to dry.
when you are ready insert a small dowl, skewer through to make a hole. Then insert teh grommetts into these areas to reinforce the holes.  I set them to
dry on a paper plate. Rotating.  Another good trick is to dry it on
a clean oven rack with the door propped over night.
Modle magix will harden and becom harder the longer it dries.

Next make 1/2 inch diabetes logs of model magic.
Lay these on a flat surface and pres sthe body, where the legs
will go on top o fthe  fresh material. Press down. You wil eb craeing a perfect fit for the hip joint.
INsert a skewer into place and then place grommetts in all the areas thatteh skewer went through.
Dry completely.
Cut away where you want the knee, if you want aknee. Then repeat how you did the hip . Dry. You can actually form all parts after the body is dry.

SArms are beveled ta the top, but pushing a skewer into place through the entire torso top is easy. Again insert the grommet to protect where you psuhed skewer in.

After its dry completely, abotu two days. You are ready for the next stage.
