Dear Mr. Gates:

Recent uproar over a comment of Sen. John Kerry "........you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq...." that had prompted a firestorm of criticism from Republicans and President George W. Bush, like reminding me about my previous letter of October 2, 2006. Whereas in that letter I wrote "........So I herewith apologize for my mistake, and I think it also prove that I have no strong interest to enter politics, because I could not even differentiate between "withdraw" and "unwilling" to run for president. I thought it was the same. Therefore I prefer to join you by writing these letters, because you are also not a university graduate just like me, you are only a drop out from university..........." Of course I have no comment about the uproar triggered by senator John Kerry, especially since he had made clarification and apologize to anyone who has been offended. But I just need to add here that I am serious of having no interest in politic, because I think I have no qualification to become a good politician. That was why I made such statement. It was a serious statement, not a joke, because I need to concentrate on my consent to move out to the eternity.

Subject: Questioning the Word 'Guru'
My previous letter of
Paris Going Down for Dow Jones First Time 12,000
contains the word "guru" in the sentence of "......it happened a few
months after I posted in these letters the "Mr.
Warren Buffet's Donation Through Your Foundation" that contains
photos of Mr. Warren Buffett, the second richest man in the world who is
known as the US investment guru......"
Unfortunately it has triggered some questions among those who think that
I have written the wrong word, because "guru" is known in Indonesia as
an Indonesian word, with the meaning of "teacher", how could I use it along with English
word to become 'US investment guru'.
First of all I have to clarify here that the words "U.S. investment
guru" were from the caption of AFP/File/Nicholas
Roberts, like in the above photo. On the other hand, today I searched
for the word "guru" in the Merriam-Webster online dictionary, and I
could find the meaning there, the word came from Sanskrit. That is
why it also have the similar meaning with Indonesian word 'guru', because
there are also many Indonesian words that come from Sanskrit, from the
good relationship with India in the past.
I also searched it related with the Beatles, as they formerly known for
having the spiritual guru from India.

The Gurus of
Sergeant Pepper
From
Richard Salva
In June of 1967, the Beatles
released what many claim to have been the
greatest rock/pop album of all time. "Sergeant
Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" took the world
by storm with its creative imagery and
innovative orchestration. And though the Fab
Four later denied the claim, numerous rock
historians dubbed Sgt. Pepper as the first in a
long line of "concept albums."
On the front cover, scattered
among the matinee idols, writers, comedians, and
the Beatles themselves, were four faces that had
music fans scratching their heads. Who were
these exotic individuals and what were they
doing on a Beatles album?
Those who searched the album
casing discovered the word "guru" applied to the
four men. Nine months later, when the
Liverpool lads began to arrive at the Maharishi
ashram in Rishikesh, India, the words
"Beatles" and "guru" would be closely
joined, but at this time the appearance of four
"mahatmas" came as a surprise.
