On October 28, 2006, I began two new paintings about Paris Hilton. At first it only contain Paris figure on each painting.

The next day on October 29, I completed according to the idea in my mind, by adding the picture of wayang puppet. A few hours later in CNN news ticker there was the news about former world heavyweight boxing champion Trevor Berbick murdered in Jamaica.

His first name Trevor reminds me with my former employer when I worked at Collier Jardine in Jakarta, Mr. Trevor Peach, a man from down under Australia. While the last name Berbick is like the famous puppet of girls doll Barbie.

So if it was meant to give a message to me, then I think I have received it clearly. In the painting I was using the figure of Kumbokarno, whose name sounds a little bit like the first Indonesian president Bung Karno. The reason for using his figure was only for artistic matter, because Kumbokarno seems like representing my ugly face.

On the other hand, in that painting Paris Hilton looks taller than the Kumbokarno, symbolizing my consent of going out to the eternity and not into politic like bung Karno. Because if I entered politic like bung Karno and people happened to like me, than they will pray for me to live longer, and it would be against my consent to meet the end of my life soon. Especially if my live longer while Paris Hilton live shorter like Lady Diana, of course it would be against my consent and I wish it would never happen.

A.

"Dalang Paris"/

"Paris Puppeteer"

a painting design of 72 x 73 cm acrylic painting.

B.

"Bayang Wayang Paris"/

"Wayang Shadow Paris"

a painting design of 72 x 73 cm

acrylic painting.

Painting A is depicting Paris contemplating while staring at a wayang golek, the West java puppet. It is a figure of Gatot Kaca, a knight who is able to fly like superman. The position of Paris Holton is like she is also a puppeteer, it depends on who sees the painting to interpret it.

In painting B, I was using the figure of Kumbokarno, whose name sounds a little bit like the first Indonesian president Bung Karno. The reason for using his figure was only for artistic matter, because Kumbokarno seems like representing my ugly face.
