Clive Wilkins  Fine Artist

~Biographical Details

 

Clive lives and works in the heart of  England, UK. 

He works full time as a fine artist/illustrator.

Clive was represented at The Piccadilly Gallery, Cork Street, London from 1987-8, and at The Portal Gallery, Bond Street, London from 1992-4. He was a member of the Leicester Society of Artists until 2002. He was placed second in the 1988 Hunting Group Awards, at The Mall Galleries, and has appeared in the  NPG Portrait Awards on five occasions. His work has appeared in print, including 'Country Life', ' NPG Portrait Awards Guide', ' Royal Academy Summer Exhibition Illustrated Guide 1986', and '1994', 'The Best of British Illustration Annual', 'The Creatures in the Night'. Dingley Press 2008, as well as numerous magazines and exhibition guides.

Clive has produced portraits of Sir Peter Blake and Sir Howard Hodgkin amongst others.

He was presented to HRH Princess Royal during an official visit to the University of London in 1994.

He completed  thirty-one paintings for publication in 2005/6. The working title for this sequence is 'The Creatures in the Night'. The paintings can be previewed on this website from time to time, & on the dedicated restricted access CITN websites. Details of site addresses & passwords are available on request. The book, 'The Creatures in the Night', featuring all the paintings with an accompanying text were published to great acclaim in May 2008, by The Dingley Press.

The original paintings produced for the CITN project are available to collectors who are very much invited to make contact.

He is no longer  represented by Conville & Walsh. [Literary Agents], London.

He is represented by Petley Fine Art, Cork Street, London.
