Ag. Literacy
The Clinton County Soil & Water Conservation District along with the Clinton County Farm Bureau sponsor this Agriculture Education program for the students in the County.  Susan Kleiboeker is the coordinator for the program and makes visits to the schools presenting on different topics like soils, beef, grains, and biotechnology.

Each Arbor Day in April the Clinton County Soil & Water Conservation District provides a tree and small presentation for each 3rd grade student in the County.  These trees are usually provided by a local nursery in the County.

Coloring & Poster Contest

Each year the Districts sponsors a coloring contest for the 1st & 2nd grade students and a poster contest for the 5th & 6th grade students in the County.

Educational Resources
The District has many videos and resource materials available for research projects.  Call the office for any information you may need.

Envirothon
Every spring the South Central Illinois Land Use Council #13 (Clay, Clinton, Franklin, Jefferson, Marion, Washington, and Wayne SWCD's) sponsor a natural resource education program for high school students.  This is a team oriented problem solving activity that tests their knowledge in the areas of Aquatics, Forestry, Soils, Wildlife, and a current environmental issue that changes each year.
