"...you have to cross
the island all over to find out the best parts of it", wrote Joseph Pitton de Tournefort, in his
"Travels", already in 1700, and this remains very much true to this
day. "επί των ορέων" is a
documentary series of 21 episodes, each 11' to 35' min in length, taking the
viewer off the beaten track to the most beautiful and interesting parts of
the island. Well researched in local and university libraries for documented
narration, and shot with a hand-held camera, following solo or groups of
walkers all over the island all seasons of the year, the series is more a
travelogue than it is a tourist or educational programme. See faq &

Four of the
episodes, namely “Dios Milosiou”, “Drios Dionyssou”, “Panareos” and
“Route 36th”, participated at the DOC
Market 2005, which was part of the, 7th
Thessaloniki Documentary Festival annual
Festival which took place in Thessaloniki Greece,
in 2005 from Apr.1st
through Apr.10th. |

Walking the three highest
mountains of |
ΔΙΟΣ ΜΗΛΩΣΙΟΥ, has been screened
at the 6th International Panorama of
Independent Film and Video, which took place in Thessaloniki,
Greece, Sept.29th 2004 – Oct. 9th 2004. ΔΙΟΣ ΜΗΛΩΣΙΟΥ also
participated at the 11th International
Environmental Film Festival, which took place at Banska
Bystrika, Banska Stiavnica and Zvolen, Slovakia,
from May 2nd to May 7th, 2005. |

"Sites and Sounds"
is a compilation of short films, each 4' - 9' min in length, documenting
local customs, traditional festivals and events, every-day scenes and four
seasons landscapes, in video and sound shot on location. A description of

A documentary featuring the
ecology, mythology and history, of the most important lagoon biotope of the
southeast Aegean, Alyki, on Naxos. Technically,
this is a film by Giannis Kondopoulos,
for which I have contributed to the research, wrote the scripts, did the interviews, the supplementary photography and the
